Came Accross a smallish Black Bear at Jungle Habitat today. It was not aggressive, but also did not want to yeild the Fatbike lane at first. It kind of stared me down, ripped at some bushes and made clicking noises. I gave a toot from my air horn and he sauntered away. I was able to get a picture on my phone, i will post it later.

hit a squirrel tonight at 20+mph on the road. we both survived. he flipped me off.
 
This was just one of a handful that we saw at Mahlon laying eggs today. The gravel pile might not have been the best plan...

 
My wife got this picture of a juvenile rat snake working on gulping down a toad here in Ringwood, just off the Fatbike lane. It is cool how they can consume prey like 10x the size of their head! <EDIT> probably not a rat snake, but still a cool picture....

Robin took this of me last week at Mooch. Big beauty of a rat snake laying across Fatbike lane. It didn't move & I couldn't resist!! Obviously the highlight of my ride. 🙄
