i might be crazy... but i THINK my eye is clearing up a tiny bit. all of a sudden i have a bit of central vision. i havnt had any in a few weeks. keeping my fingers crossed!

So the first thing you do is take your BB out to the park and start beating off? Isn't that part of what got you into this mess in the first place?

day three in the hospital. things are looking up. got some internet access here. however its blocking like EVERY friggin site minus this and cnn, lol. ima kinda miss it here at the hospital as funny as that may sound. probably because its breaks up the days of sitting at home doing nothing. but hopefully with the meds over this 10 days ill get better quicker and get back to living again.😀
 
well it IS optic neuritis. why i got it is still kinda mystery. after learning from the neurologist that the chance of a clean mri and this condition at the same time mean i have a VERY low chance of developing MS(less than 20%), ive kinda cooled my jets a bit with that. i cant do more test for MS till my eye gets better, but even so all the "symptoms" of MS that i was having before the neuro kinda stopped after i seen him. anxiety can REALLY wreak havoc on your body. he said this could be a one time neurological event that may never come to haunt me. its kinda hard to tell at this point in the game but well see what happens. again, im just staying positive.
 
Staying positive is the only way to live... I've learned that lesson well.

Any more improvements in your vision?
 
kinda hard to say. the center of my vision which was the worst is def improving. thats been it so far. again its a slow process. but signs of improvement are what im happy about.😀
 
It is a slow process and I'm surprised you've seen any results this quickly. The times I've had meds it has seemed to stop progression of symptoms and the healing or reversal came over time.

I'm really psyched for you to have seen any results this soon and let it fuel your positive thinking, but don't get discouraged if the rest of it takes weeks or months to come back. Most of all... Don't worry, be happy😀
 
yeah im pumped on results too. im thinking that the eye was on a rebound before i started the meds and they just kinda kicked things into gear even quicker. either way im getting used to the eye being the way it is and i can function better day to day now instead of just moping. things are getting good-er haha.
 
Glad to hear your eye is responding to the meds. Now that your 100% that its optic neuritis you can get the MS thought out of your head and focus on recovery. Keep us posted.
 
well i cant get the ms out of my head just yet. optic neuritis can be caused BY ms.but i do have a low chance of it which is good. we shall see. but i am feeling good about things.
 
starting my week of prednisone pills today. i HATE the way they make me feel. im basically wiped out all day long and when i walk around i feel like im dragging ass. the pharmacist said i should only feel this way for a day or two till my body gets used to it. its weird that the iv stuff which was a way heavier dose didnt make me feel shitty at all but the low dose pills are whacking me out. ugh, 6 more days of this shit.
 
Don't forget them and don't take them late or you'll do a Jeckyl and Hyde.

woke up today with better vision than yesterday. kinda weird. i have depth perception that i havnt really had and the blindspot is kinda turning into a blurryness instead. this is a good thing. although im kinda dizzy from it because i can see a bit more and my good eye isnt overcompensating as much as it has been i guess cause the bad is seeing better. this is quite a strange process.
