Six Mile TM - Sunday September 14th - Roll Call

i'm definitely nowhere close to being a jumper/builder or what not. I'm aware that features should be compacted well and that dry dirt doesn't exactly lend itself to that but there was a stream near by which could have been used to moisten the soil. again, we spent a total of about 10min on it (not trying to make a lip) and left cause finishing the trail was more important. that being said, it probably was a noob attempt.

My GPS is a hiker model so it does not draw smooth lines...

Whoa! So we could have walked back to the house in half the distance if we cut across the field?

You guys did an amazing job! I'm sorry we couldn't get there earlier.

4 of us bench cut for about 2.5 hours today on the new trail.

Tommorow we are going to continue the new trail to the Jaques lane lot.

Meet there (Friday) at 8am.

Hmm... looking at the sat photo is very cool.

I'm curious to see what the rest of the trail will be. Continue down the other side of the creek through the woods back to the Red trail?

I'll be away for the weekend but look forward to riding it again next week. 🙂

Have a picture of said jump?

It's not easy to see but this is what I've got. Jdog, myself and two others rode over it pretty fast last night but none were able to clear it. I cased it pretty good with my front tire. One other joke that he nearly folded his fork. 😱

Looks like it'd be a fun thing to take, I was going to head out to help mash things down.

We added a wider smoother takeoff with a rollable gap. You can now ride it both ways without jumping it.

The newly cut trail... fun fun fun!!!

Great job with the new trail! The off-camber turns had been bench-cut. But man the uphill killed me. I rode it tonight and went all the way to Jacques Ln after crossing the stream. Pumped through the double-jump, the one jdog smoothed out. Took the road back to rt 27 parking since it was really dark and my light isn't bright enough. I decided I didn't want to go through a lot of elevation changes in darkness with some portions still needing bench cutting... I wish I was there to help out on Sunday but something came up that I couldn't get out of. Well, I'm helping to compact things up by riding it, right? 🙂😉

rode it ... liked it lots. smooth and flowy. you guys did an awesome job. call it 20 mile from now on 🙂

Ben and I put in 4 Solid hours this AM.

We finished connecting the new trail over to the Jacques lane lot.

The new section needs to be ridden in.

It will eventually re-connect with the Red trail.

Please get out and ride it in. There are white marker posts along the route for now.

The state has some markers on order for us as well.
