Conditions?

I just got back from riding and the bridge looks pretty good. There are small burms on each side of the bridge, make for quicker entry.

Looks pretty good.

Conditions were great today, good group of riders... it was my first time at Six Miles... I thank Joe and Skip for the tour 😀

The bridge looks awesome and is rock solid. All the TM efforts are appreciated.

Riding with the group yesterday we came across the first suspended bridge (when you start from the 27 lot) and saw a guy pulling his bike up from the water!

I don't know the details but apparently he went down. The bridge has become very shaky and is leaning to the right. It has become unsafe and I highely recommend walking across it instead of riding.

Yeah that thing has seen better days. Seems like it gets worse every week. I found myself walking over it yesterday as well. I no longer trust it.

I went over the bridge going back to the lot, but once I walked across it and saw it flex about half a foot, I wont do it again.

Be careful out on that thing.

i did not notice anything new... it was always a little bit shaky.

probably I'll look at the bridge close tonight

thanks for the heads up. I've been walking that bridge, and the one on blue after the swamp bog (although that hasnt been a swamp in a long time!) for the past few rides...had a bad feeling...

That bridge you speak of is odd, some days I go across it without a thought or a problem. Other days I nearly go off the side, but I've yet to do so. Other days I get mindfucked and decide to walk it. I always walked it in the winter because there is much less traffic in the park and I didn't want to hurt myself and run the chance of waiting a few hours for someone to find me.

And the bridge near the "swamp section" is easy. It looks intimidating due to the height but it's solid and "on camber". It replaced a really rickety bridge that had a very rooty approach.

I think this is the one Pearl is talking about

Couldn't have said it better! I rode across it 3 times today no problem. 4th time I didn't think twice, I got off and walked.

Perfect day to ride out here! So lots of people all day.

this thing is fucked... don't ride it...
(this has been a public service announcement)
