Conditions?

Conditions were perfect yesterday. Some wet spots.
Unfortunately, a wet root got the better of me and caused me to crash into a tree. Broke my collar bone, and destroyed my shoulder which requires a few screws and a ti plate... oh well, there goes my season.

That totally sucks dude. It's been very sketchy there lately. Most spots are dry but a few wet roots here and there that catch you totally off-guard.

Two weeks ago I skid on a wet root at a turn and sheered the bark off the tree with the bare skin of my knee. It wasn't pretty.

Get well soon!

That sucks bro!I hope they gave you some decent pain killers to sleep at least. I broke my clavical in 2 spots in a skiing accident(damn tree's,there everywhere) and needed a plate and six pins installed.Had to learn to sleep on my back, which I don't do.How the heck did you get out of there? Get better soon.

sorry to hear bro. i ate it on a wet root last Friday and wrecked my shin. Luckily i am ok. get better soon!

Hopefully conditions are good for my am ride tomorrow...

Hey SirCrashalot

Bob, your root took someonr out, bad.

Sorry to hear and watch you get hurt. I've witnessed tires sliding and squirming on that root. Get well soon and get back and ride!

Ah, i know that exact root. It's very sketchy and has a ton of tire skid marks on it and a nice groove on the outside. Gotta stay inside of that thing. Heal up man, that sucks. I hurt myself about this same time last summer with a broken ankle. I know how u feel. The trails were kinda sketchy on Thurs with the muddy corners.

My GPS showed I walked roughly 2 miles in about 1 hr. I was in severe pain and had to push my bike the entire way out...had to stop a bunch of times. Totally blows. I keep playing that turn over and over in my head... Something so easy takes me out like that just pisses me off... but oh well, can't complain... things happen.

oh.. and the video doesn't have sound. Some reason the transfer over cut it out. When I crash all you hear is the f word used a few times... The cracking of my bones can't be heard on the video... but I'll never forget it.

Thanks for all your kind words from all of you...

Dude,
get better quick man,and BTW screws in bones is a rite of passage ask Jim V.

I havent broken my collerbone but have had shoulder surgery with screws and the like, stick to the pt and listen to your doctor. Keep your head up and dont sit in front of the computer for 9 months like I did and get big and fat😀

Trails were dusty and dry today. Coming back toward the 27 lot, I was surprised to see a bridge across the creek. Looks like they just put it in today, there was a whole crew of county workers there with trucks.

Oh yeah???? Did you take pics?

Can't wait to check it out! No more wet shoes, dried out BBs/hubs and most importantly, hitting the hidden under water rocks and getting soaked!
