Took the hard tail and figured if 6mile didn’t work out would burn some miles on the towpath. Started at the canal lot and and wasn’t bad at the start. Further in more puddles and peanut butter. Bailed onto Blackwells Mill Road at the anal bridge. Headed south on the towpath and received a client call. Was going slow while talking and realizing it would be a long call headed back to blackwells mill parking lot to setup shop at a picnic table. Sometimes it takes almost 2.5-hrs to complete at 85-min 13-mile ride.

Got back in time to mow the lawn before dark so at least I got that going for me.

That was my gut feeling it was going to be like. I ended up riding to the Canal Lot and back on the towpath. Hopefully by Sunday morning that tree will be gone.

(16/31) Half way there with Bon Jovi Hair.

Legs just in a steady state of soreness.

Day 13 of 21
1:21

Bonus day to ride since I normally in the office but did WFH to be home earlier to celebrate my middle son's 21st bday (wow typing that made me feel old)

Back out on the road with the WFH crew i did a lot of drafting due to sore legs from the efforts I put in Wednesday morning. about 1/2 way through the ride one of my riding buddies noted that my back tire seemed low. I didnt think it seemed that bad and we rode on and I made it home but could feel it was getting squishy/squirrely the last few miles. Also didnt want to stop because a random dark cloud showed up and I didnt want to get wet and have to change a flat. When I got back PSI was like 40 so yeah it was flat. But still a good ride.

Day 14 of 21
1:22

I was checking the weather all yesterday and last night to try and figure out how I could find a 1 hour window to ride between the storms. After getting basically thrown out of bed by a massive thunderstorm at 4am i was pretty sure it was going to end up being a no ride/zwift recovery day. imagine my surprise when the sun was out and blue skies were around.

Since the WFH crew was busy today was a solo ride. I didnt have much of a plan so just made random decisions which way to ride some of the usual roads. I decided to ride a reverse kind of loop today. Its interesting how the same road can seem so much different riding the other direction. Today was another day where my legs felt great and snappy like rubber bands just cranking the pedals nice and steady and not pushing too much into the higher HR levels. I had time and the legs to keep going today, but forced myself to get home so I can save legs for a big riding weekend since the weather looks perfect.

Unfortunately I had already committed a few weeks back to lead the Saturday shop road ride tomorrow before the LewMo ride event, so I will miss it but look forward to the pics and recap here and the other thread.
