No camp & wife WFH on Thursday & Fridays so doing a mix of town rides and trail rides with my 6½ year old daughter was a huge help for this challenge. NFW could I just head out for a 30 mile ride and leave the kid with the mom while she tries to work.

Hey @clarkenstein, it looks like my 15 hour work day will land me on the bike after 11pm. If the ending is after midnight, does the ride still count? I'll do some extra climbs...

First ride of the day was more exploring on the ebike that I rented. The trail system up here is amazing. The trails are perfectly built and maintained. Every trail region is connected via a huge paved trail network.
Second ride of the day was at the downhill park. So much of the mountain is closed due to a new gondola installation. It is rather disappointing. I feel like I'm riding the same 5 runs over and over again. I ran into this kid wearing a Jersey from the team I used to coach on in Washington, that made my day.

Day 29 part 1: The Bugbee Return Loop featuring Emma & Ozias
I took the morning to do some of the trails that are not normally on our loop. I talked to my boss this morning and I explained where I was, and he promptly told me to mark today as "training" on my timesheet then go ride my bike. Easy enough. Rode from the house while D got some work done. Made it to town then up & over to the Harp-Coronary Bypass downhill that we used to take back to the house on Bugbee Crossing. That combo is an excellent combo of trails. But it leaves you in a hole.
Then Emma's Sanctuary, up & over to Ozias, than back to the house. Now it's lunch time. Great way to start the day but I admit I am starting to get pretty tired.
We'll see what this afternoon holds.

WFH was on hold this morning waiting for the internet to get hooked up at the new office. I decided to use that time to get a ride in before lunch. Tried to go to Duke Farms but they were “closed for maintenance”, so we went to Duke Island Park instead. I got the hour done and am still waiting for internet to get turned on.

I should add we had our own Balloonfest this morning. I was awoken by a loud whoosh whoosh sound of what turned out to be a hot air balloon going directly over my house (approx. 20’ above the driveway to be more exact!). This is not normal. The basket hit the treetops across the street and they managed to land on the other side. I was slow to grab the phone so I only got the pic after they were landing on the other side of the tree line. Talk about an exciting morning… more for them than me.

So today I took out a father and son on their very first mtb ride. I really don’t know either of them but Bill is engaged to my ex-sister-in-law so I guess it’s sort of family. Bill crapped out early and then I took Conall to see the dinosaurs. Conall had that shit eatin grin the entire ride, I think he’s hooked!!

Flying sucks. What a pain
Out in Las Vegas visiting my sister. Picked up a turbo levo to play with for the weekend. Ride 1 is picking up the bike. Ride 2 was playing some at the local trailhead. Promised I wouldn’t be gone too long to mess up family plans for the day. Hoping to get out tomorrow morning for a good ride. BIL hurt his back this week. He isn’t sure about riding tomorrow yet. Not fully comfortable going solo, but we shall see.
