what a morning. I took off the first four hours off work to watch. Though I spent as much time looking through my clenched fingers as I did actually watching the match... The England match that is 😉
I switched right over to catch the USA goal; great results all around!
It could be any one of Ghana, Germany or Serbia in the next round. I think they each have a shot at topping their group.

looks like Beckenbauer made some nasty comments against England because they finished 2nd (in their group) and claims they have nothing left in the tank to face the Germans....Interesting...He also says this should be a semi final match not a Rd of 16th match, which I agree. If things continue like this, we could have Holland-Italy, Brasil-Spain and Chile-Portugal as well in the rd of 16th where these should be semi final matchesl....this leaves lots of room for "smaller teams" to sneak into at least the semis....Corea, Japan, Ghana, Uruguay, Paraguay, USA and Mexico :hmmm:
As a matter of fact, on the USA side of the draw either Uruguay, Korea, USA or Ghana will at least get 4th place. :hmmm: Could this be the year of THE USA....I believe the strongest there is Uruguay who has not allowed a goal and play a very tough mid field game with great counter attacks and the edge with their playmaker Forlan.

I was just noticing that myself. US over Ghana should be a safe bet (but then again this is US Soccer- anything is possible), and Uruguay should beat Korea (which will be a devastating blow to this thread). US Uruguay will be a rough one, but at the very least it will be a fun match.
In other news, my Italians look like they will be out of the running if someone doesn't remind them that they aren't the French.

Another African disappointment...Cameroon! 3 losses....I would've never predicted that. Good, cuz I really don't like E'to...(not that I know him personally 🙄, but)
Surprised to see two Asian in (Japan & Korea) I was figuring one or the other, but not both.
Everybody from the Americas is in, except for Honduras. Well, Chile is not in 100%, but they are very close. I seriously hope Switzerland do not qualify because they play very conservative and make for boring matches.
