good question
Today (or now yesterday) wasn't too bad, didn't do anything to protect the face but did get a lil windburn. Last week though when the windchills were 8 degrees on my dawn patrol, I put a bunch of vaseline on to protect the skin a bit, doesn't keep it warmer so much as it does keep the skin from burning and drying up. I'm generally more comfortable surfing for three hours in the winter than I am riding my bike for two, my toes hate riding the bike in this cold weather. Plus, the water temp is 40, it's warmer than the air temp. Also, a seal came and visited me in the surf today, which was cool and unusual, which helped not focus on the cold. That was a first, and pretty damn cool too.
How do you people keep your face from freezing off?
