Professor Satchafunkilus

NICE!

"Over the course of his illustrious career, Joe Satriani has achieved legendary success with his 12 solo albums and three platinum DVDs selling more than 10 million units worldwide. On April 1, 2008, Satriani is set to continue his brand of electric education for the masses with the release of his 13th solo album entitled "Professor Satchafunkilus and the Musterion of Rock" (Sony/BMG). Following the albums release, Satriani will embark on a worldwide tour, kicking off April 30 in Lisbon, Portugal before hitting the European market, Australia, South America and finally returning to the U.S. in the fall of 2008.

"Professor Satchafunkilus" was produced through the creative envisioning of Satriani and John Cuniberti; guiding the musical talents of longtime drummer/percussionist Jeff Campitelli and renowned bassist Matt Bissonette. A special addition to the album’s artist list is Joe's own son, ZZ Satriani, playing the tenor sax.

I listen to just about anything, but my mainstay is modern metal/metalcore.

1.Killswitch Engage
2. Lamb of God
3. Shadows Fall
4. As I lay Dying
5. Children of Bodom (just getting into them now)

Going to Killswitch on the 1st! Backstage passes 😀 Their concerts are great.

But I'm also into Billy Joel, Within Temptation, HUGE fan of Matchbox 20, and definately George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic!

Starland Ballroom is my hometown club, have been to many great shows there. Always a great time. Most memorable was when Slayer played there a few years back, awesome show as always. The best part about it is that the Starland Ballroom is a Pepsi account(who I work for)and that afternoon before the show I had to go there. Met Kerry and Tom from Slayer as they were overseeing the set up, hung around for a while to check stuff out, went home, showered, then back for the show. Great day.

Did you just get hip to this recently? I'd have assumed you'd be on this right from the get go.

I dig it.

I am pretty sure that your wife gave this to me a while back but for some reason I just got into it.

I was loving the Drive home tonight with the new Iron and Wine. I also was entertained by Wilco, Band of Horses, Interpol, Yo La Tengo, Electralane and Bright eyes.

i made the drive back from vt with only one 15 min nap.
