Today was a really outstanding day. Thanks to all who put it together and all who came out. If you didn't show for this one you missed a fantastic event. Good times all around.

I'm sure many recaps, pictures, and videos will be flowing in soon.

Great Day

Wasn't sure what to expect bringing my son (4 yrs.) for this, but we had a great day. Really good vibe. Gotta bring my other two kids in the future. The highlight for us was Jeff Lenosky's show and of course the kids' ride. Thanks to Ben, Steve, & Brad for that one. When we got home my son wanted to ride his bike some more despite his exhaustion.

Definitely glad I made it out.

Great Day

It was a fantastic day. I can't wait for next year. I helped lead the ride for the beginner women and it was a wonderful experience. I got as much out of it as they did. One rider down, but she went out, got patched up and came back to enjoy the party. Gotta love mt. bikers.

I also got a chance to put some faces to names and meet some new people.

Great time!!!!

Smashing Success!

Glad I showed up for this one! Made me realize just how much I've missed biking and especially the people. Was nice to see Norm, Jake, Steve, the Workmans, Mare, Keith, Kevin, FrankH AllaJoe, Dawn, Kirt, CWJohn and everyone else. Bikin Ben was an excellent "kids ride" leader and a born teacher too. Jeff L was AMAZING!!! What a huge smashing success that event was. I made out like a bandit with the raffle too. I spent 6 bucks and won two pairs of socks, a bottle, a Stumpjumper book, and an awsome Mountaincycle hoodie. The mtbnj bottle opener rocks. My son wants to go to next weeks Jorbafest LOL. My thanks and kudos to everyone who made it happen. ps the 7 mile trail was really nice too!!! I'm going there again today.:)

JORBAfest was the best!!!! Thanks to EVERYONE involved and who showed up!!! Really dug meeting everyone from the board here, Lenoski is one helluva rider (I couldn't duplicate any of his moves on the trail, but I cleared some nasty rock sections in his honor), was riding for the skinnies comp but I'm sure that was cool, the human vise sure can "vise" things that was fun, and man was there a ton of bike porn there (drool). I rode both the first advanced intermediate ride and the second intermediate ride and really dug both of them, I've done ten mile climbs before, but they were nothing compared to a mile and a half of the steeps at "the Mooch", really grinded out the granny gear on a few climbs, especially on the second ride when my legs were already spent. I think I held my own on the rides, and doing it on the old rigid bike with the "semi slick" knobbies from 2000 was a real hoot.
I too want a JORBAfest every other week, but can't wait until next year. Luckily, I won't have to wait a year to get back to Allamuchy, cuz that place rocks. The 501 Crew represented well on the rides, and I think we showed that us Allaire cats can climb as well as flow, haha. Again, thanks everyone for the good times and the good vibes, it was sooooooo worth it. And to the guy that cleaned up on the raffle, he owes me some of that schwag, cuz I didn't win C-rap, ha. I'll post what few pics I got later, I didn't get any ride pics as any down time I had on the trail, I used for recovery or running my mouth with some of the peeps, nice meeting ya Manny, the only other guy to do both intermediate rides, I think.
PS- I didn't thin the ride length to miles done ratio was going to add up going into this event, but after riding some of the climbs and the sheer number of riders, it seemed to time out just perfect and I was toast by the end of the day.

Excellent MTB event! I did 7 mile run with my son (12 years old) and he loved it! According to him it was more fun than Ringwood trails....

The festival was great. Thank you JORBA & sponsors & volunteers. Etc...

Great to meet a few people (Not sure there name on here ) and see the regulars.

I never ride up north. That was the first time ever in the mooch area. Deer park was okay but Stephens was great! I am willing to drive there and ride it from time to time. I just hope the markers will stay up cause I wouldn't be able to do the network on my own. Great conditions too. Soft every where. Slippery at times but it wasn't like riding the rock wet. eeek. I never ridden 4 hours like that but surprisingly I am not even sore and I had a blast.

Running late to the 6mile TM..... peace.

nice meeting ya Manny

TRUUUUEEEEE. More power to us. Keep rocking that rig. It's bad ass.

BIG THANKS TO JORBA AND ALL THE VOLUNTEERS!!!!!!

It was an awesome day!!!!! The ladies ride was lots of fun - I rode a lot of trails that I've never been on and met some new people. The turn out was amazing and the vibe was cool too. The skinnies were lots of fun, the kids were having fun with it too. I got to watch Jeff from about 5 feet away. When he went for the world record bunny hop he landed right in front of me. By the time we packed everything up and left it was close to 8, but we weren't in any rush to leave.

I can't wait until next year, this will be hard to top :D

Fantastic time

Big thanks to the volunteers and to JORBA for an awesome time.

Yes the trails were a bit slippery and crowded at the start of the race, but it's no fun to fall into a puddle unless there is someone there to see it happen!

Jeff's show was amazing, I still think he could have done the one wheel hop down on his front wheel! That would have been awesome! He puts on quite the show, but the cool thing to me is how laid back and down to earth he was. After that big show he packed his own trailer.

I think some of the kids in the skinny contest must have had Stickum on their tires!

What a great day. Even though I didn't get out there until almost 3 with the wife and kids and didn't really get any riding in, it was worth it to do the kids ride,(thanks Ben for leading, your sense of humor and patience was very helpful). It was also great watching the kids do the skinnny thing and the look on my kids face after every cool thing Jeff Lenofsky did was priceless. THey talked about it all the way home, my son says he wants to go to the school where he learned all that stuff...
Norm, it was also a cool way to officially be accepted onto the mtbnj team and to meet some nice folks. I actually wore the jersey today on a road ride and because of the jersey got stopped by someone who I actually used to race with 12 yrs ago and turned them on to the site and they may bring some of the guys I used to know out to JH. Not bad for the first 3 hours of wearing it!
Also, ANTGOLD if you read this, we did the kids ride together and it turns out our wives were talking the whole time while we were out and on the way back she was bothered that she did not exchange info with your wife. Good thing you posted what you did with you in the photo or I would have no idea who you were. If you happen on this please PM me and I’ll pass it on. Thanks.
Thanks to everyone’s hard work to put this together and I look forward to next year where I can help and be more involved.

All these great pics but none of Ryan H. eating it in the middle of the field on those planks while trying to do a "fish tail" I think it was.....:D

AWESOME JOB! I thought the event was great overall! I had lots of fun talking to people, buying gear and had a great bike ride.

Thank you to all who worked so hard to make it happen.
