Today probably shouldn't count because I bet I wasn't 'on' my bike for an hour. Not counting it, but posting anyway.
My oldest son is visiting from Colorado and today was the only day I could get to Creek with him. We knew the weather was sketchy but gave it a chance anyway. We were able to get in 2 laps before the first lightning/rain storm. Then sat around for an hour while it poured. Then squeezed in a few more laps before the next wave of storms began.
It was so wonderful to ride with Tommy again. All you peeps with little kids, enjoy riding with them while you can!

Did you get to try “The Pit” or was it closed all day?

Day 18: The Woods didn’t seem like a Fun option today

Until the past few days, summer has been awesome. As anyone with a pulse knows, the standard New Jersey Humidity Hammer has dropped. Because of this, I decided to forego the CR Monday ride and just hit the road. This was the right decision. I ended up having a pretty good ride.

I don't really worry much about the forecast in the days ahead. I pretty much just take it 1-at-a-time. I don't really see how Thursday's forecast has any bearing on today, for example. I hear it's gonna be hot. To that I give a hearty Elmo Shrug. So it goes.

I find the road to be easier on these days as you have a built-in fan. This was the case today. Mind you, it was still hot & humid but it felt better than it could have.

As the trend would have it, I did not take a picture on the road ride today so you get this FB gem from 13 years ago.

18/31 - I was planning on a "bigger better" mountain bike ride this afternoon but the weather scared me into taking it easier and staying close to home. Got my time in at Mercer and never even got wet. I took a couple photos on the ride but they're apparently to large to upload....
