2022 31/31 Ride daily for bragging rights and a reward. TM / Jorba / MtbNJ /

Oof...yeah that may have to get swapped out. I was thinking it was closer to 10-11 miles.

Don't swap it out, it's awesome. You can choose to ride to the top then turn around. The back side is older & less awesome (but still awesome). That would cut out 5 miles in total so you'd be more like 10.5 miles and 1800+ feet of climbing.

We parked at the ranger station which seems to be where a lot of people park.

Which part of SVT are you planning to do? Fairgrounds or Endless Brook.

Endless Brook..but I'm very open to suggestions. Here's the route I threw together thinking we really wanted to hit Hardy's and Hunker:

Oh yeah I think that was the plan, Tunnel Ridge both ways just to get that trail. Thanks for the tips!

Scudders bridge park and ride to Baldpate and back.

The bike path on scudders is awesome and the only legal-to-ride crossing of the Delaware (calm down there tough guy, I ride some of the too) between Easton and Philly (fact check that someone, pls). Anyways, the path is on the wrong side of the bridge for sunrises but great for shots like this. On another note, this shot is at 4:53, and I have realized that the people who wake at normal hours have no idea it is starting to get light at this time during the summer.

Berry season is here

The lower powerline and the trails leading to it are about as overgrown as I have seen them. It is too bad someone does lead the Jorba group here

This is the area the tornado hit last July at baldpate, this was previously a thick canopy and you would have never been able to see the sun here in the morning and the ridge to the north that RT 518 is on top of. It is pretty amazing to see. It caused a big shift in the invasive growth in this area and everything is going crazy since it gets much more sunlight then ever before. They think the tornado got "stuck" on the hill that is Baldpate Mtn and just churned in this area similar to water forming a hydraulic on a rock in water.

I had Purist bottles made for the PA NICA team I am the head coach of. PA has a fall season and our first practice was supposed to be last night but was rained out. This will be my 4th season as head coach and in that time I helped grow the team from 13 to the 61 kids we have registered this year. These bottles are for sale if you are interested, 22oz and 26oz available with pink, red, clear or black lid. $10.

Cool picture, that spot is pretty unrecognizable looking these days!
