I'd like to ride Six Mile this morning... does anyone know how much rain it got yesterday, if any?

    Thanks,
    Frank

It got on and off again rain for most of the day Saturday. So, no Bueno. :(

    Thanks Juggernaut.
I'll stay local and try again for next weekend.

Has anyone been out there today? Curious if all the heat has helped dry out whatever rain there was yesterday. Around my parts it was like a monsoon at times but not sure how bad it rained there yesterday. Knowing how much that place retains water, I'd hate to make the trip for nothing.

I was out doing some work on the blue trail for a few hours. Every rider that came by was simply covered in mud. I simply asked each one to consider giving the park 24hrs to dry out after a heavy rain. Nearly everyone was incredibly nasty to me. I found this ironic as I was working on the trail..

Can't believe how selfish and inconsiderate people are. I thought that mountain bikers were a tad nicer than the general populace. Guess that I'm sadly mistaken. I appreciate what you do JDog and thank you for your hard work on SMR.

To be fair, there were maybe 10 riders in 2.5 hrs. On a Sunday, this is nothing.

I was glad to see that many stayed away.

Despite the relatively low ridership on a Sunday at SMR, 10 jerks is too many. All they had to do was take the advice to ride another day more graciously.

How many were wearing helmets? I saw a roadie today wearing just a cycling cap

100% with helmets. All on bike shop quality bikes and none were playing music.

Two were visibly embarrassed that they were called out on their super muddy bikes, especially when I was working on the trail.

Only one was confrontational and honestly he rode off once he noticed the chainsaw in my wheelbarrow.

Thin geezer yes. Don't know what bike he was riding. With another guy on Wertzville, I'll check strava flyby to see if they show up

Does anyone know the conditions since the last rain storm? Wondering if I should let it dry another few days or what..

I was wondering the same myself. Would hate to drive an hour just to turn around and come home.

I am in the Canal Rd lot right now, and just spoke with a rider as she was leaving. She says " just some mud in the usual spots." She was clean, and so was her bike, so, good to go? I will post up if I find the trails to be too soft.
