I must comment about the games too, it is not all about beautiful girls 🙄
What is it about Holland? Brazil had them cornered and didn't killed them during the first half. Brazil's goal was awesome play by Robinho marking the pass to the open space and I forget who put it just there and Robinho is great at finishing plays, one touch, just like his previous goal.
On the 2nd half Brazil slowed the tempo down and eventually that was what screwed them! That was a terrible play from the Brazil goalie, who some say is the best goalie in the world. And the 2nd goal, 2 headers in the box, from a corner kick!! Terrible! Great merit to Holland since those plays are practiced a lot and not all the time finish in Goal. At the end I think Holland deserved to win because they never gave up and Brazil maybe got to cocky?
The Uruguay/Ghana game wasn't too excited until the last 2 minutes of the extra time!!! Nobody could've scripted it better!! What an exciting finish!! The contrast from feeling defeated to the joy of knowing you are still moving on!! I was listening to it on the parking lot from Skyline waiting for shrpshter! Suarez and that hand ball saving the goal at the last minute and then the Asamoah missing the penalty kick!! I hope they don't lynch him back home. Once they went to penalty kicks I knew Uruguay had the edge because of their experience. The Ghana team is young and never really been exposed to that pressure. Great job for the uruguayan goalie stopping 2 kicks.
I felt so bad for Asamoah at the end, he was devastated and broke down completely!

Today should be Argentina and Spain advancing, but anything can happen!

Pitty, cuz I liked both teams an which to have seen Argentina at least for one more game.
It is funny, that it all repeats from 2006, Argentina beats Mexico and then Germany beats Argentina, last cup was in penalty kicks with a much balanced game. This time it was all one-sided.
I am glad Paraguay lost, I dont like their game, I dont like the fact they dont score goals and they had just won one game in this tournament and could've advanced to semis. The penalty kicks deelio was crazy...back to back...wtf! but I think the ref was an ass....there were more people in the box on the 1st kick and he didnt redid that one...some calls were questionable IMO too.
Villa now is the top scorer with 5 , nice addition to Barca this next season, not that they need any more superstars! Nice finish too by Villa on his goal...bouncing on all posts!! :scared:

Who would've thought (at least I didnt) that after all the South American teams advancing to the 2nd rd, only 1 and it is Uruguay, is on the finals. That is futbol, you never know.

So chances are it will be an all Europe final. I dont think Uruguay has what it takes to beat Holland plus they will be missing his star striker.
So far I think Germany is looking stronger but Holland is a very good team, that makes no mistakes.
