The only fly in this ointment is this: What if the Spanish score first and the Germans are forced to press like everyone they've scored an early goal against? All it would take is another moment of David Villa magic, or for Torres to rediscover his touch; and he is due.
As much as Germany was the better side against England, the final score only told half the story. England were dominating the match when Lampard's goal was not given: We were denied seeing an epic match when that goal went unnoticed. We still don't know how this young German side will handle having to play themselves back into a tough match. In the England game the officials handled the problem for them. (Uruguayans not knowing the rules? Odd).
So, are Germany as good as they've looked with their blistering counter attacks? If they steamroll the Spanish like they've done everyone else; I'll be a believer.
I don’t see the Dutch having many problems with Uruguay, so long as the rules are adhered to anyway.
