Seriously....what is up with the lovelies! Are there any unatractive women at these games? Portugal, Brazil, and Argentina a--nay, all the Latin American countries--are awesome. How about the Uruguayan team? I feel I should contribute to this forum.

Yes...she was suppose to have been Uruguayan! Ignorant me, although they do have similar color uniforms...at least I think? Out of fear of losing an eye, I nearly ducked from my computer when I first saw her.

I'm gonna cheer for Uruguay from here on out. Don't really know why or much about the country? Seems like a good compromise between Argentina and Brazil.

Goal of the day: post picks of Uruguayan soccer lovelies. Bring it!

I found another one of Larissa, but it is marginally safe for work or viewing by minors.

BTW, my wife is a Portuguese soccer fan. That is all I am going to say on that 😉

Having said that... By the time the final whistle went in England's game I just wanted it to be over. This generation of "gifted" and "world-class" English players have never lived up to the hype that surrounded them. As a supporter of England one gets accustomed to going out of major tournaments fighting hard but being defeated by injustice and bad luck. At least that's how it used to be: Italia 90, Euro 96, France 98. Since 2002 we've limped out of every World Cup and European Championship with a wimper not a bang.

As for this match with Germany: Sure, if the ghost-goal scored by Lampard and "missed" by the Uruguayan linesman had stood it might have been a different game. At 2-2 the English wouldn't have been chasing the game, wouldnt' have been pushing as far up the pitch. But the better team won and no amount of nationalistic Kool Aid can convince me otherwise.

I couldn’t agree more…
I just got back from 2 weeks in the UK….being up the pub for the games must be the next best thing to actually being in SA. Press are going crazy mostly blaming Capello for everything…and a lot of BS about chips in balls and magnetic fields around the goals..😕

Would like to see the Dutch take it now...
 
Well, Capello was the highest paid coach out of the 32 coaches in the WC. I understand it was about equivalent to 10 million dollars....supposedly a long term contract, not sure. Weren't you guys too proud to have an Italian coach? I thought every Brit wanted a British coach.

On to today's games....
The most boring game of all the cup, Paraguay-Japan, they should've just put pictures of Larissa up :getsome:...Im glad they went to penalty kicks and was able to see them during my lunch break. I am a little disappointed that Paraguay has 3 ties and 1 win only and are in quarters...probably not fair, but that is the bracket they got. (the win in penalties is officially a tie)

Spain finally broke the spell, that is scored a goal against Portugal, and with only one goal received, Portugal is going back home. Big disappointment as well, since they only won 1 game (granted 7-0, but against crappy N. Korea) and had two scoreless ties. Ronaldo is probably the biggest disappointment of all, close to Rooney, but at least you could see Rooney more in action during England's games. I barely saw Ronaldo today.

I guess we will be seeing more of her, now one of the most searched woman on the internet...I wonder why...

Yes...he was paid 6 million pounds and is supposed to be there thru ‘Euro 2012’…most people would like to see an English coach but with all his experience in the past it looked like he could bring home the goods… We’ll have to see how the FA react..I think they meet with him next week… For me Rooney has been the most underachieving player in the world cup…I’m sure it will come out that he had problems of some sort whether health or just being burned out from the premiership…

So I've noticed. Its pretty odd...that this is the one thing not available on the internet! I searched the deep dark abyss of the internet yesterday. I nearly caught a virus, and still came out with only one girl, who wasn't even an Uruguayan fan! Stupid internet.
