white clay

11 is probably the worst time you could pick. And it looks like it rained down there 2 times this week. One being yesterday. But there are 2-3 locals that will let you know what's up

Yeah, I didn't have a choice -- had to teach a gym class this morning. I ended up staying away from DE. I went up to ride the Perkiomen Fatbike lane here, but that turned out to be a total clusterf*ck. I couldn't pedal one full revolution without the fatbike getting caught in the snow. So I ended up bagging that and riding the SS out on the road. Got 30 miles in, and hit some pretty decent climbs out near Limerick, too. Happy to feel that post-ride buzz again!

Thanks all for the advice!

Sucks when you don't have a choice. Seriously though i have a beautiful new frame for my SS that I'm dying to ride but gave up on that a long time ago...dont even care about Fatbike lane conditions or when the snow is going to be gone just sticking to the road for now

That kinda sucks ... road miles are the order of the day right now, but I'll be counting time until I can get down there again. I really enjoyed it throughout the autumn (only just got down there for the first time this year.)

Even if there were no ice on the trails, conditions would be very sloppy w/ the warm weather. The trails at White Clay do not drain well. If it's muddy, please use common sense.

I would say white clay is unridable for a very long time, I wouldn't say that it drains poorly but the soil doesn't recover fast after the winter snows. Unless it gets really cold again and we get a fresh few inches of snow, white clay is toast for at least a month.

Well as of Monday none of the trails in the system are reporting snow cover - just wet and muddy. Hopefully they dry out this week.

thanks, I am new to South NJ and was going to head up there Wed with Nikky... never would have guessed it would not be ridable.
