white clay

Sounds like a plan!

I would love to get in on this as a guide but I'll be in Jersey. Use this as your guide, this is my favorite route back there.

i don't have GPS 😀
this will be my first time here. Hopefully meet you another time.

A friend from NJ will probably meet me down there too. And it looks like local wheelsolias is going to be the guide. We are meeting at Paper Mill Park at corner of Paper Mill Rd and Polly Drumond Hill Rd. Meeting by the pond. Time is still TBD but still noonish.

Thank you

Thanks Carrie for a bread and butter tour. I wouldn't even know if we missed anything. I'm glad we weren't stuck with a map. That tour was badass. And shout out to all the Trail Spinners for the great work! The place is like having a SuperD course dropped into a XC setting. The log rides and bridges all over are a bonus. The field riding is underrated. It is beautiful out there and the section with like 10 mini jumps were a blast. I will definitely be back!

I was here on Sunday, and this place is KILLER. We wandered around for 3 ish hours and never hit a boring piece of single track. Such flow at this place, it is incredible.

Next time I go I will have to check in with the trail spinners. First off, they do an amazing job. And to have a guide show you the trails and put a nice loop together would only make it better.

It reminded me of Stewart. But given the choice, I would go to white clay.

I was there Sunday as well. We did Fair Hill, Carpenter, White Clay and Middle Run from a friends house. All the riding in that area is really fun, well maintained trails.

We ended up with just under 40 miles and 4 hours for the day. Definitely worth the drive!

Interseting, as this is on the radar for next weekend (not this coming). We were kicking around Raystown but it's a bit far, so maybe do a day trip here instead.

the other two guys I was with went to the festival at Raystown the previous week and said that there is no reason they need to drive an extra two hours :hmmm:

We may be going down that same weekend. Not sure if its a Saturday or Sunday though.

still willing to listen.....bump:hmmm:

There's a park at the intersection of Papermill and Polly Drummond Hill Rd called Paper Mill Park. Park there. It's puts you in between MR & WC. Parking is free. Pull into the park, go around the tennis courts and park over by the pond. The trail starts out by the road at the bridge.

What a great website link. I intend to try Fair Hill and/or WC next spring. This is a really good tool to go by before starting the long drive for either.

How come though, the website reports do not ride conditions (updated 12/1), and Carrie says isn the following post should be good to go??:hmmm:
Thanks.

i believe carrie is speaking that saturday they should be good to go.

I rode WC/MR late afternoon on the 2nd. The trails were a little slick due to the rain the day before. It's been so dry this past summer that the dirt is just sucking up the water. Just be aware the trails might get a little slick because it's getting down to freezing. If you start to leave a pronounced tire track, don't ride. There are a few puddles. Please ride through them, not around.

Just use common sense.
