Getting early start on New Year’s Eve bubbles with this nice fizzy Lambrusco.

Our bubbly was nothing to write home about. However we did enjoy this bottle of Saxum JBV last nite. Would have been even better had I given it more time to breathe.

Here’s what we’re enjoying tonite. If you like RRV pinot, Chasseur rarely disappoints. Not the most sophisticated but darn good nonetheless.

Going with a light bodied white tonite. Also from RRV. Blend of gewurtz, Riesling and trousseau.

It is extremely floral on the nose. Light bodied, with honey, stone fruits and citrus. Not sweet, very clean.

Started out with this... A 2005 Rosenblum Petite Sirah that has been hanging around for a while.

Time has not been kind. A hot syrupy mess.

Moved on to this...

2012 Ridge Merlot. Much, much better.

Nice. Muga puts out good stuff. Have some of their rioja laying around. Haven’t seen that bottle before though
