@Roadie - if you have any of the 2014 ridge estate, I think it is on the backside of the curve......
My rule of thumb for bbq wines has been heavier bodied, bold fruit, non-tannic wines like zin blends or its common constituent varietals like PS. So maybe next time dip into you Meomi stash.... ?

Wow, nice!! How was it?? I have a few vintages of both the Carlisle Sonoma County and the Palisades PS’ lying around. Haven’t opened any yet though. Barrel tasted the 2009 or 10 a while back when we visited the winery. Loved it. Now I am thinking I need to start cracking them open.
