What have you done to your bike today?

Part of Father’s Day gift was these cool water bottles that match both my road and gravel bike. Wonder how they knew ? 🤪

Frown on adjustable wrench, chuckle on miniature vise grip(don’t know why they make me chuckle but they do). Glad you and the bike escaped with little damage, I did the same and cracked my only carbon frame on its maiden voyage, sigh!
Surprisingly effective tools for straightening a bent rotor. In the end, I thought it was best to toss the old one in the trash. 🙂

I’m no bike tech but I was sure wondering if you use that to replace the oil in the fork for the summer.

🤪
Nah, the aerosol version is non-greasy, does nothing for stiction. 😁

I actually bought it because of my last trip to CR. Shit was that bad.

It's been a while since I did any maintenance on the Womble, mostly just laziness. I knew the wheels needed some attention for a while - any time I'd ride it, I had to inflate both front and rear. But every time I'd inflate it, it'd hold for the whole ride so I just kind of ignored it. So tonight, with no ride planned and a backup of maintenance to all my bikes to address, I decided to bite the bullet and get them cleaned up and reset. Kind of a good thing I did ... I think I know why it wouldn't hold air for more than one ride ...

Yeah ... that tape is ... uhhhh ... yeah ...

But no big deal - I peeled it out, cleaned the rims and re-taped them airtight.

Then I turned to the tires themselves. The sealant was more or less an exploded rubber ball at this point - dry and spread in a thin film across the entire inside of the one tire, and in a giant gooey clump in the other. The clump I just pulled out and tossed. The other one I had to go for the clean sweep - it took about 20 minutes but I got it all out in one piece.

I'm way prouder of this than I should be.
