My boy and his band “Lunch” Performing at the Stanhope house for the last time as a band together before they all go off to college. They sold the place out back in October last year so this one will probably be just as crowded.
This time they are donating half the ticket sales to the lead singers mom since she is undergoing chemo for breast cancer since April 😢.

Bought a pair of Gibsons for my ever-expanding collection. ES-335 in 60s Cherry and an SG Standard. Made a few mods to the SG the week I got it. I'm not a fan of the 490 pickups that come stock so I pulled them out and replaced with a pair of 57 Classic and Classic plus. Also removed the PCB and changed over to 50s-style wiring. Now it's more to my liking!
These Calibrated T-Type pickups that now come on modern ES-335s are interesting. I didn't think I was gonna like them, and assumed I'd pull them out and replace with something else. After some playing time Iv'e really grown to like them. They are definitely brighter sounding than what I'm used to but also very responsive. The brightness can be tamed with the tone controls...
