Strictly METAL

Lamb of God was at Vintage Vinyl the other night for a signing. They may have played, too. Not sure.

Oh, I didn't know that. I did go to a signing they did a few years ago when Sacrament came out. I got the CD signed by the whole band. They didn't play that time. I can't imagine them playing at that place though. I think they reserve the live shows for more 'tamer' acts.

I found this on Vintage vinyl's twitter feed on the 23rd.
I'm not sure if it means that LoG played, or Lacuna Coil, or both.

Tonight @LambofGodBand signing @ 7! Then tomorrow 7pm @Lacuna_Coil performance/signing! Wristbands for both still available but going fast!

after seeing these guys so many times I aint shelling out 150 bucks to stand with thousand of people to see them finally play Trapped Under Ice..

But who is going to the mayhem festival!!!

SlipKnot Slayer and Anthrax.

Coupla' concerts I've got coming up and really stoked about:

Opeth, Mastodon, Ghost @ Roseland. I really like these bands, so I'm gonna see all three of 'em. Opeth is actually one of my all time favorites.

Meshuggah, Baroness, Decapitated: Meshuggah is another one of my all time favorites. I also heard a bunch of stuff from the other two bands, so I think I'm gonna check out this entire show as well.

Van Halen, Kook & the Gang: I grew up listening to Van Halen, so what can you say. Plus I really like the new album. It's great to have Diamond Dave back in full swing. I'm a little puzzled about the opening act though... I'm pretty sure I'm gonna skip that. Yeah, I'm sure.

I completely forgot about "Quickness" as Jshort mentioned... Gotta dig that out

The latest issue of Guitar World magazine has their list of the 50 Greatest Van Halen Songs of all time.
In that list, only five are from the Hagar era. And, even then the first song from that time doesn't appear until # 29 on the list.
I've said it many times that the DLR era was a million times better.
I know that this list proves nothing, but it sure is one hell of a statement.
