Music

Old Crow Medicine Show's version of CC Rider. Intersting interpretation with a stripped down simple, slow flow. These guys are fantastic, if you like Appalachian/blue grass music.

Thanks for this Those good old boys can pick it. Went through a bunch of their youtoobies. Send any grass my way I still have plenty of red neck in me...

in the waaaayyyyyyy back past it was always Rush

in the past couple weeks, pre-ride music is the soundtrack to "Life cycles"

I dont like having headphones/earbuds on while riding, would rather listen to the sounds of those things around me, but I am very good at humming music while riding and/or just keeping it in my head if I feel I "need" it.

This song reminds me of Mahlon. A day or two before my first ride there I heard this on one of my Pandora stations, so I happened to listen to it like 3-4 times on my way to MDR trying to decide if I like it or not. I had the song running through my head for the entire ride. Anyway, it just came on a Pandora station again and by the second chord I was riding Mahlon in my head. I love how music can instantly transport you to some other place.

another thread with hidden gems...I see there's a few Wilco fans here. Here's to converting more:

never listen to music on rides - to me its dangerous and i really like to hear the sounds of nature - whether i am road or mtb riding

anyway - my musical tastes are very eclectic but i dont care for much country
love reggae, rap, metal, rock, pop u name it
all time fav is bob marley and really dig damian as well
grew up on metal (ozzy) though rarely listen to it now
