The Avalanches - "Since I Left You"

Listen to "Going to California."

It's a little pokey and she doesn't have Page's range, but it still gives me goosebumps. It ends with a nice flourish.

.

Doesn't have Plant's range...Page was the guitar god, while the other guy was the tall cool one.

I don't want these kids tuning in to grow up misguided.😀

I'm digging this, it reminds me of Donna Summer Bad Girls. I'm old and feeling retro disco lately so you people are just going to have to bear with me. beep beep

Ok, a little break from the retro-disco scene.

This is one of my pics for top 3 albums/disc/8-track... of 2011. I find it really difficult not to like these guys. Distinct vocals, refreshing sound with the horns yet still pop and easy to listen to. I like this performance, its almost 12 minutes long but hey give it a listen.

What's in your top 3 of twenty eleven?

I didn't buy much in 2011...but three albums I had on repeat were Black Keys, Foster the People, and...hmmm...Naked and Famous.

Black Keys...solid. They don't seem to be a one hit wonder band.

Foster the People- Great to see a band do well, although it is somewhat disheartening to hear them on Z-100.

Naked- love this bands energy and unique sound.

So you admit you listen to Z 100, huh Chris?

its on in the wifes car. after listening to satelite radio for 5 yrs I've come to realize radio is crap...except for college radio. 90.5 the knight out of brookdale is good.
