Music

Yes, they will be @ the Academy of Music in Philly, not sure of the date but I thinks around that same time.

Hurray for the Riff Raff tics go on sale Friday. Playing NJ and Brooklyn on 4/25 & 4/26. http://hurrayfortheriffraff.com/tour-dates/

She represents americana so well. Great song writting while blending folk, country, blues, R&B, rockn roll. Alynda Lee Segarra is someone I find really easy to listen to. Her new album is full of great material.

my kid is digging the uptown funk...

when is eastside vibe playing while the sun is up? how about the sourland music fest this year? paging Capers.

So I had this discussion at the bar the other night when asked why I don't care much for classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Floyd etc. My response was when I got old enough to get into music most of those 70's bands were either dead, broken up or more to the point just old to my teenage ears. It just seemed to make more sense to get into local bands I could see for $2 and a can of food vs paying hundreds of dollars to sit in an arena. I thought this was a valid argument, I was told I don't know what I'm talking about.

So, am I a clueless uncultured heel because I don't think Robert Plant is the be all end all of music? I give those bands their due, I just don't ever want to hear them ever again.

They were intact with original members for some of us!

i'd rather not hear all the old rockers attempt to sing anymore - but the classic vinyl station does come on regularly - but then again, i even like the stuff my parents listened too. and occasionally my grandparents.

any good ska still happening? (this should produce some interesting barbs.)
