Just saw sign on parkway for NIN/Soundgarden concert. Seems like an odd pairing, no? From what I remember those groups had different followers. NIN was the black lipstick wearing goth crowd and Soundgarden had the grunge thing.

Maybe there was more cross over than I remember

Went to Webster Hall last night to see Courtney Barnett. It was a gloriously depressing rainy evening to listen to someone who makes depression sound uplifting. Does this make sense? Anyway I love Courntey. On the way out I saw her loading her own equipment into a car. I shook her hand and told her she's great...it was kinda surreal.

Again this year, going to do my best after late night to get out the door and have some fun at annual Tatum race the next morning.

Saw Alt-J at Tower Theater in Philly last night. On their albums they really reach on melodies and arrangements and last night in concert it totally worked. The harmonies came together while still putting together a different sound. The material off the second album can be somewhat sleepy but they peppered in their more comercially successful material to keep the show upbeat. It was an awesome wave Δ

Also while in the Philly area I discovered this public radio station out of University of Penn. While on the drive home I was able to tune in for a lot of south jersey. Just looked at their website and they gave a stellar review of Alt-J's show at the Tower.

I think you should be able to get it in on a decent radio while you're at work at bushwood. For public radio they're pretty diverse.

XPNs festival in Camden is always a great way to spend a few days in July.
