Did a little work with Rudy on the east side Saturday (Upper blue). Did some trimming, removed a couple trees and some leaners . Left a big one (see pic) near the entrance to upper blue coming in from the power line trail for @TAS .

Next official trail maintenance day in Saturday 5/21.

Al...I have been waiting on that big one to fall since I can't remember when! Yup TM is this weekend. Perhaps Mick & I can get out there and clear that one during the week. Great trim work...Hey save some work for the brush hog crew!
Actually we have a project in mind for Van Nest. Need to widen the trail so folks don't fall into the creek. May run the hog the same day if we get enough folks out there.

Hooked up with Mick and we will remove the tree tomorrow morning! Here is a pic of the spot on Orange trail we need to widen move. If you recall, I almost lost the Brush Hog into the creek here last year.

I was out for my first ride today since November!...Long story... I am sooo outta shape it ain't funny.
Cleared a bunch of small stuff and face slappers on the West side - VanNest. Everything looks really good.

Time to trim..lots of rain this spring and brush hog season is now upon us. I used a string trimmer today to clear the power line exit on Blue trail. Mick & I will begin section trimming on weekdays with the brush hog.
Rain has also brought out the TICKS... DEET is your friend...Do a tick check when you get home... them little critters will get ya!

Mid week Trail Maintenance!!!

Mick, Al and I got out on Tuesday evening.

Red Trail has been Brush Hogged and cleared between the tennis center to the exit onto the paved path.
I'll post some pics later.

FYI We still have a plan to remediate - realign the section that dips into the swamp.

Yes it is open, just certain lots are closed off.

Al, Thanks for the update. Yeah upper Blue will be next in rotation. That tree looks hard as stone too... Katana can do it but too much effort in this heat... I'll have to use the chain saw. I will need to call Louie ( Park Security) and let him know I am going to cut.
