HELMET!

Wanna sell that? I’ve been pushing my luck with a Bell Super (removable chin bar) and broke it in a crash over the weekend... time to get a real full face I guess but I wasn’t really planning to drop $250 on a helmet this week ?. This sport sucks sometimes lol.

It it will fit you I’ll give it to you. Its never been worn. I’m not home now but ill post up the speck’s when i get back. I could use some good karma these days....

Here’s the spec’s.

It fits true to size on the head.... unfortunately my giant pit bull shaped jaw made it a no-go for me.?

Is there an issue with the Bell ? I’ve been looking at the the Super 3r since my son decided
To take me full face and my mtb helmet stinks.

No it’s a good helmet. I got a few years out of the Super 2. It’s definitely not as heavy duty as a real full face though which is both good and bad. If you are riding serious DH get a real full face helmet but if you just want to throw the chin piece on for the occasional trip to the bike park it’s awesome.

I ride in lbi most days I am down there. . I see families ride, parents and kids. I would say on a daily ride I might see 1 or 2 families that everyone is wearing helmets. I Sometimes I say something.
I never wore a helmet until I went to rutgers new brunswick in 84. The first time I rode between campus I almost got hit by 2 cars and a bus. The next weekend I was home I bought one. At the last NJ fondo ride I realized my helmet was 6 years old so I bought a new one.

Thanks for the info.

I got hit w a falling tree @ 6mr on one of those crazy packed Saturday mornings riding w Walt - letting people pass I was holding onto a tree that apparently was holding up a tall skinny dead tree that hit my skull directly - drove my head into my shoulders - Helmet was a bell Walmart Job , but saved me possibly from severe injury.

I was concussed for a few days and went to RWJ for a CT scan.
Chiropractor for a month 3 xs a week got my neck back into feeling good.
Got lucky.

That said saw two guys @ Harts yesterday no head gear.

We Saw you at the top of Devils Elbow. Did you see that Stocky Moose guy without the helmet? We passed him in the thick brush section and he was stopped for us to pass, I asked him if he lost his helmet in the overgrown bushes and offered to help look for it with him. He didn't get my humor, duh.

I’ve e been hit several times by cars\vans\trucks all but one of them was before helmets were a thing. The worst of it was when i was seven, when a pickup truck an i collided on blind corner on a gravel country road in Mt. Temper, New York. That had me under the truck with a broken leg and a new complexion.... Cars Kill you and break your bones, helmet or not. It’s everything else where the helmet proves its worth. Oil on the road, the root that snags your pedal, the hole you didn’t know was there and the tree that seems to magically seems to move and clip you (ok, me) ..... Helmets do sometimes come in handy.
