You're really opening up a can of worms(see what I did there). There's like 9 billion articles and videos on every aspect of bass fishing, I think it might be the most popular species people around the world chase. That said, you can start with the B.A.S.S. website and branch off from there.Hey fellas, get ready to have a field day...i wanna relearn how to fish. I'm up at my parent's lake house in the poconos. Tiny lake, and I want to catch bass. Any links to remind me how to reel and jig and all that?

back in the 90's when I was fishing for bass , the rubber worms always worked in the summer... ALWAYS.I'll simplify it for you:
- Rod should be medium weight, spinning real loaded with 8lb test mono.
- Early season pre-spawn (right now) use jerk baits (Rapala's Lucky Craft, etc. around 2.4-3"). Erratic retrieve (jerk it). Swim baits with a 1/8 jig head will work too.
- Later on (mid-June on), use the good'ole Senko, rigged wacky, 4-5". Cast it out let it sink. Pull it back slowly a couple of feet, let it sink. Once your line starts moving sideways on the drop, set.
Only to keep them I thoughtCorrect me if I am wrong, but don't you need a trout stamp if you are fishing in stocked waters?
You may be right, I think it is worded that if you fish for or possess trout, stamp is required.Only to keep them I thought

this thread has me getting my license but no trout stamp... last time I ate stocked trout, the taste was terrible, which may be indictive of a fresh stocked trout... maybe later or a holdover it may change??
If you're fishing for them, I think that you need the stamp, unless you can make a really good case that you're targeting another species. Just get the stamp, it helps pay for the generous amount of stocking that they do.You may be right, I think it is worded that if you fish for or possess trout, stamp is required.
The easiest thing you can throw for small pond bass is a 1/8 oz or 1/4oz spinnerbait. Cast, reel, pick off any weeds and repeat. Its hard to screw it up and hard(er) to hang it up on a snagHey fellas, get ready to have a field day...i wanna relearn how to fish. I'm up at my parent's lake house in the poconos. Funny, my friend is a semi pro bass fisherman and said basically the same thing. I grew up fishing both these. Just having trouble remembering the speed and technique and all that jazz. The easiest thing you can throw for small pond bass is a 1/8 oz or 1/4oz spinnerbait. White, White and Chartruse or chartruse. Walmart will have this.
Spinnerbaits and rubber worms were my go to as a kid riding my 10speed through the woods to every pond and drainage ditch in the area. Problem with Rubber worms is it takes a little more skill to know what to do.
