First timers at Mountain Creek Park

Will you be in the race or just watching? I had emailed Diablo how they would operate on that day since there were races and they told me that only 3 trails will be closed on that day and that 99% of the popular trails will be open for the public. He said that the park will operate like any other normal day. So if you want to meet up hit me up at my email so we can meet up and ride.

hey, i'm going to be racing that day, i might still hit some trails after if i'm feeling up to it though
 
Could someone tell me what the easiest/shortest drop off to try would be after doing the progression drops.

The rock drop on tempest. IMO its smoother than the 2nd progressive, prob about the same height. After that, its on to the big boys. I think heights go from smallest to largest, pipeline, salvation, anthem, road to nowhere, phantom, & covenant. I have been told phantom is the next easiest/smoothest drop.

There is also a small drop to flat on the Jack.

Thanks, I guess I'll try the Phantom. It looks like an easy roll off and is the closest in case of injury. Gotta do it sometime.

How am I supposed to do these drops and jumps? With the progressive, I get enough speed to roll off, but I feel it is supposed to be done different with other drops. Could someone tell me what I should do, even though I feel stupid now.
 
Phantom(deck drop) is by far the smoothest. Even though that is where my RMX Team snapped at the headtube on me after the US OPEN, that drop seems a tad bigger when you land headfirst. Atleast I didn't overshoot.
 
Went for my first time today. I did the exact same thing elbiddy did on the wall ride on Alpine. Besides that I had a great time. I saw Alex from bicycle pro there.

I was up there today. Wore the flak jacket and a bike and helmet rental with white goggles.

Apparently I dropped my blue Arctic Zone water jug on the way out and when I came back looking for it, it was not there. I am mad and sad😡:cry:
 
please let me know when this large group ride is going to happen, i really wanna get up there with a group as it will probably be more fun that way

What kind of bike were you on? That's what I typically notice. My buddy and I were on 2 2008 Gary Fisher Roscoe 2's.
