Chimney Rock Conditions

I heard not great as of yesterday. It was hot today so maybe it's better. That's all I've got as of now.

Rode this park for the first time on Monday. Its a great park! One of my favorite so far, being that I am still pretty inexperienced and my fitness isn't so hot, this place is challenging enough without being ridiculous and climbs are moderate, but not like Allamuchy's cardiac.

I rode blue and a couple loops around red. I saw plenty of others out there riding, including a guy in full on mtbnj garb, so I guessed it was kosher to ride. It was however pretty muddy in many spots, but overall the trail was in pretty good shape.

Conditions are close to perfect. Even the lower blue trail is almost there. You can ride it without gaining 5 lbs of mud.

People should feel free to make it to the trail maintenance tomorrow.

Anyone know what it's like out there today?

Was there this morning. Rocks & roots were slick but should be dry by now. Trails themselves were near perfect. Go enjoy before the rain.

Pretty awesome out there considering the rain we got yesterday. Lower blue was rideable. Some wet spots, but the ridiclously nice weather made up for it!

CR was packed tonight! Hope everyone had a good ride. :getsome:

Not a lot today but it poured here last night. I wasn't there today but I would venture to say it's wet. Things might be OK tomorrow, certainly not good though.

I was wondering the same thing. Heading over there around 5:30 Never ridden there before. Also, can anyone point me in the direction of some beginner routes. Nothing serious as I'm recovering from a knee injury and haven't ridden in a long long time.

I wouldnt consider much to be beginner friendly there. If anything, the white trail, which is accessible from Newmans Ln parking lot.

This isnt to say beginners can't ride there. If you are familiar with rocky single track, you should be fine.
