Chimney Rock Conditions

Well I'm a beginner but not. I've ridden before. Rode a few times this winter. Just havent had a bike to ride in a while. I've been a roadie the past few years. But I work in Bridgewater and was looking to ride after work as an alternative to sitting in 287 traffic.
 
Try white first. Then move on to blue and red. Save yellow and orange for when you get a little more experience in the woods.
 
its was fine out there this morning. only puddles to speak of were really on the lower blue along the river / the usuals. everything else was good to go.

Some sections of Yellow/IMBA was getting over grown in spots.
 
Good ride today

I had a really good ride today, surprised there weren't that many people. Conditions are dry and great. I enjoyed some TTF that i haven't seen before. 😀
 
It's poured big time there today. Flooding all over the place. Parts of 22w are closed. I drove past the park after picking up my kids & some of the trails you can see from the road were streams. It will take a few days to dry out to say the least. Please avoid riding there for a few days if possible.

Rats! I was gonna try to go there for the ride tomorrow. I guess that ain't happening now...

I plan to ride here tomorrow evening but I wonder if the trails are going to be too muddy. Anybody have an update?
 
Multiple sources have told me things are good to go. Ride away.

Ok guys , so I wanted to try out hartshorne but that's a no go so I wanna try this place out . I'm from up north and never been to CR so u think the trails are ok for tomorrow ? 8/16 ?

Its not going to be good. Way worse then Hartshorne.
 
No, CR doesn't drain that fast.
We got soaked again this afternoon, I'd say check it out later in the week.

Based on the rains we have had I'd say your best bet is the road bike.
 
Damn this sucks lol .. Looks like no riding all week for me :/ ... Gonna have to workout harder at the gym now I guess .
 
i have been in up state new york all week on vacation. i was wondering if it is dry enough to ride and enjoy it. i know this place takes for ever to dry out.
