Very sad news. An mtbnj legend and great guy. He fought this for a long time. Very sad to hear this news. He had a huge impact on this community.
Frank let me borrow that bike for my one and only fat bike ride when @Steve Vai got us kicked off the beach...About 10 years ago, a number of you generously chipped in to get Frank a fatbike to thank him for his long-time committment to the NJ trail cause. I had the honor of hosting him for his first ride. We hit up Sandy Hook for a "three hour tour" I'll never forget. Frank took every opportunity to roll over all the rocks, splash into the waves, and explore the flotsam and jetsam that litters the Hook. At one point we came across a natural gully that resembled a huge half-pipe, consisting entirely of sand. We sessioned that gully like two skaters, laughing and whooping like kids.
Frank was one of those rare individuals that was humble yet larger than life. Rest in Peace my furry friend.

Ended up taking it to perineville instead...Frank let me borrow that bike for my one and only fat bike ride when @Steve Vai got us kicked off the beach...
How old was Frank
Hey, I'm in that picHaving a hard time with this...
My earliest memory of Frank was my first time riding Sourlands (maybe 2010-2011). It was a JORBA group ride and I was in over my head, but Frank and @Mare made it fun...and it's now one of my favorite places to ride. I will leave a trail memory for him.
I know he will reunite with some of our other lost cycling friends...I will miss you.
