Same as yesterday but in the rain. This little trail rides better wet. It’s a mix of pine straw over hard pack and deep sand pits that are like riding through 4” of fresh snow. When it’s dry you can wash out at any moment. Rode my first race here and placed 1st when I was like 12’ish. There weren’t many kids racing mtb back then….

Today was one of those “let’s do something different “ days so I got out to ride for 2 hours from 5-7am then we met another group all at a friends house and we had Beer and BBQ and watched TdF. (Yes I know roadie shit).
It was cool and comfortable at 5am but the darkness made it feel much faster. Brought along an extra light for safety 1300+ 850 lumens was like a truck headlight.
First time I ate a cheeseburger at 7:30am but you only live once.
