Day 6. Checked out the Summer Sizzler course. Trail is in great shape.

Anyone from this area. I'm going to ride to my uncle's shore house Saturday and need to make sure the roads are somewhat ok-ish. I basically clicked the start point and finish then let Strava map out the most popular roads using their heat map.

I’ve been on pretty much all of these roads until you get into Toms River, I’d say you’re good to go.

6/31 Had intentions of a solid mountain bike ride this afternoon but the rocks at Stover had other ideas for me. Two flats and even more bacon strips couldn't salvage this tire. Ended up limping out on like 4 PSI. Maybe carrying a tube isn't a terrible idea..... Cush core time?

Day 3: Sugarbush DH Day

Being a VMBA member affords you a handful of free downhill tickets, Sugarbush being 1 of the 5. Today we cashed in on that, 6 of us hit the road from Rutland to Warren, VT and all 6 of us are VMBA members. Say what you will about NJ people poaching the VT trails, we pay our dues. We're all both VMBA and KT members. We're always more than happy to give back to the people making magic in the world.

The park is raw, absolutely nothing like what we'll see in 2 days at Killington. The trails are pretty much roughed up, and they point you down the hill and say, "GO!" I suppose they whisper, "Try not to break anything," after you roll away. In all, not really that bad. Not many trails all told, but there were some good runs in there.

We closed out the park, which seems to always be what happens when we bring the boy to any DH park. The 6 of us grabbed a burger on the way home, and we ate like none of us had ever eaten before.

Today is day 2 of our trip, day 3 of July, and 4 straight mountain bike rides in a row.

IMO Sugarbush has always been the 'toughest' ESC race because of the rawness. I recall actually saying to my son "there is no way I raced this last year! They must have changed the trail!" I think I sais that three years in a row to him. All good memories and experiences!! Burke is pretty raw but way more fun. Go all the way up to the tip-top enduro trails if you've never been .
