One way ride to my parents to have some beers with my dad and then the wonderful wife picked me up. The ride wasn't as hot as I expected, but going to try to get out earlier tomorrow to beat the heat

23,011 feet of climbing during July. On track.
This ride ended at 11:50pm.
After 23 days straight riding hills mostly, a flat ride felt amazing. Loving the headwind for once.

We were there again came in as entrapment in the water. She was lucky to have a glass break in her car and pop the glass to get out.
The barrier hasn’t been fixed from the last time. Not that would have totally stopped the car, but might have helped. Painted rumble strips and a clearer stop sign on Jacques would help. Might need to goto the council meeting to complain as I’ve almost gotten hit there a few times.

MTBNJ Nassau Ride. For the first time this challenge I cramped post ride a few hours later. I’ve only ridden Nassau on these group rides. It’s like if Chimney Rock and 6 Mile had a baby. In the big picture it’s not that far from me and I should spend more time there. Really fun place. Need to return with fresh legs and cooler temps.

23/31: Headed out to Garratsville to ride the short version of the New Lisbon gravel grinder. This is a great ride that happens in October and offers a 15, 30 and 60 mile option. We opted to ride the short course. Got up to 90 during the ride but it never felt that bad.

Flying Hikers
Was up early and wanted to do a few things at Baldpate, took this at 4:53
Probably the last week for pre dawn light before 5.
Then did some trimming and some other odds and ends.
I started really riding around 6:50 and there were some hikers and runners around and pretty sure I gave a heart attack. Kept it chill-ish.
Happy with another 12 hours week but 4-5 of TM

Ride 24/31. Got out early to beat the heat. Took it easy. It’s tough not having a recovery day.
