2022 31/31 Ride daily for bragging rights and a reward. TM / Jorba / MtbNJ /

Nice cool morning to get another hour. Holding onto the mulligan card.

Does race course prep for the Summer Sizzler count as TM? Will be at least 3hrs.

8/31 Another long day ahead of me so I hit the roads early. I fear the fatigue of back to back days is going to start creeping in so I tried to take it easy despite the inspiring weather and views. Realized that we're into the second week now and I'm pleased to have made it this far 🤞 hoping I can keep the momentum.

Oh yeah... the fatigue is real if you aren't used to so much back-to-back days of riding, even at low effort. That's why I'm attempting the 20 this year. My whole body is cooked after park laps yesterday, so I may take today off...

Yeah- smart move considering the riding you’re doing. Lots of sweating which i find the biggest culprit in hotter temps. People walking around dehydrated and think they worked or glucose depleted but not. Clearly all theoretical.

I stay away from the sodium bombs which everyone calls electrolytes drinks. When i asked someone over the weekend what is in the electrolytes he drinks, he responded with...salt! I take in magnesium, potassium in pill form and just drink water. Lots of watermelon as well. There is plenty of sodium in our diets.

Pace yourself and push through bro…at least that’s what I’m trying to do. Lol

One reason I pretty much always ride with a HRM - so I can make sure I don't push too hard during rides where I want to take it easy. It's interesting looking at my data for the Thunder laps. Most of the time in the 160's with a few spikes into the 180's. It would be nice if Strava could come up with a "lift ride" setting so it doesn't see the lift ride as some sort of actual climbing effort, which throws the data off.

I pretty much only drink water when I ride, but I do love me some Gatorade G2 grape flavor after a ride. I recently bought the mix powder, which I actually like better than the bottle version.
