It takes about 3-6 months for it to be second naturelike I said I’m trying but I haven’t really found it beneficial at all. It’s more of a distraction than anything.

No, your dropper should have no impact on shifting. Is it normal for your derailleur to automatically shift gear while you're trying to activate your dropper post?
Asking for a friend.
Weird, mine does it all the time! No, your dropper should have no impact on shifting.
Do you have it on the same side as your shifter and somehow hitting your shift at the same timeWeird, mine does it all the time!

I was hinting at the fact that sometime I push the shifter instead of the dropper post lever. Nothing wrong with the bike, it's the rider...
Thats my problem. Get used to the dropper in warmer days... then winter hits and i forget how to use it. F'n reverb! It takes about 3-6 months for it to be second nature
This was the only time I used mine. I hear people saying they drop them in rock gardens and going thru fast turns as well, that I couldn't get used to
I am Prolly over exaggerating since it only happened once... But climbing circle switch with the dropper down even if only once makes you think twice and deter you from pushing that lever. Also Also, my Reverb works fine down to 10 degrees, so I don't know what everyone else's problem with it is. That said, I apparently killed mine and will eventually need to replace it.

I should mention that I already put an XX1 drivetrain on it and probably soon a standard seat post. I’m trying to use/like the dropper, but I still don’t see the point.
Those are the only times I used mine. Which is not often, because if the tire is rubbing my anus, I'm walking.
give it time. Follow a friend for a day who has the dropper wired. Ask them to call out each time they drop and raise their post.
I was a slow dropper convert, now I couldn’t live without it.
Anus ticking is good and I agree if you’re on something super steep that is the ONLY time I think about using it. I still have no problem getting far enough back to be comfortable. Maybe I’m more bendy than most? It’s good for more than just date night.Who doesn't enjoy a good anus tickling? TMI?
Dry dropping it on the fast descents when you need to move the bike around a little. Get into the habit of dropping it when the trail points down and stand if you need to pedal. It will become second nature quickly, no anus tickling required. Unless you want anus tickling.
That’s what I was thinking too. I need someone to hold my hand and show me when they use it. It’ll either get it or toss it off the bike soon after.give it time. Follow a friend for a day who has the dropper wired. Ask them to call out each time they drop and raise their post.
