Hmmm. I as thinking more along the line of ghetto tubless slowly leaks air until a final gash leads to a 6 mile walk out. I like your senario better.

I think I'm gonna puss out and bring the geared just to say I ride the damn thing...

That happened to me last time I was at waway except the gash was on my face instead of tire. maybe this time someone can carry me out 😛

Well my arsenal is a 29'er SS or a 26'er SS. Both rigids. I've got the gearie but it's brand new out of the box and probably won't be touched until spring. The supafly needs to stay mint for next season.

Would like to join

Could somebody tell me the exact meeting point. I'm not too familiar with the area but I have GPS. Would love to get out there.

As morning broke there was thunder in the valley and a faint trace of brimstone in the air. Then they went to their windows and as far as one could see the snow was splattered with the remains of the dead and dying..............see ya in the am bitches......................

accumulation is looking good I will be staying local am ride with afternoon x/c ski with the wife sounds like possible plan...

Hey Guys

Figure this may be the last shot at Wayway for awhile so I'm in if the rides still on. Guess it's time to put cleats on the winter boots...

8 AM by the boat dock?

MR

Last of Waway for the season? This is just the start of the snowridin season.
8:00 at the boat dock.

I'm going to have to puss out on this one. I forgot how horrendous my car is in the snow. If I can ride to there by 8 I'll meet ya 😀 It's a sad state of affairs if I don't mind riding in the snow but my car can't get my sorry butt there. Next time...

Just got back from there and the snow was already sticking. enjoy!

Hey! I was just there as well (got home around 3 PM) with my son. Did you have a car with both a rear rack and a roof rack? We saw that car, and were looking for another rider on the trails but never spotted anyone.

It was gorgeous today, but a little tough to ride. We packed it in early. It was only flurrying when we hit the trail but it really came down fast!

Back on topic....the ride is still on tomorrow for everyone? (I am meeting syncroscat from womens at the same time as this ride) .what *does one do when the snow keeps getting caked in the shoes and pedals. I just have regular spd's not egg beaters.

Thanks, Heidi

I suggest you ask this question in a new thread where it will be seen by more people. Until then, those of us who enjoy the snow, get in the habit of bashing the bottom of the shoe against the pedal before attempting to clip in. That should be enough to remove the packed stuff so you can clip in.

Heidi - I'm going to have to call our ladies ride a no go for me. We'll have to meet up for a ride another time when weather conditions will permit it. Thanks. 🙁

The only thing to do is to keep kicking your pedal, kind of like getting mud off. There comes times when they just freeze though. Platforms are perfectly fine for the snow, especially if you don't have winter shoes.

We have about 6"-7" on the ground right now and still coming down good. Thinking of SS to not worry about a derailer freezing up.
