Wow, it worked. So that was those guys , here is me, but I didn't get much farther than halfway to the furnace. I wasn't sure what to expect with the snow, sometimes it blows off the trail. The park was gorgeous albeit not ride-able at my level. On Saturday I rode with my son, it was flurrying when we started..dumping when we finished. It's always nice to get out there.

Til next time

Heidi

It was a good snow day-- I had my first snow ride at deer park and loved it. Only thing was the pedals. I went with flat pedals and winter hiking boots and it was like a block of ice. Any time i tried to stand (ss-necessary)and pedal I slid off and was walkin. Other than that It was really great. Maybe we can meet after the next snow storm.😉

or before! 🙂
I guess snow rides are a mixed bag, but you defniitely looked happy to be out there.

More snow..

I hammered out a ride at Mahlon today.

Great day for it, lots of sunshine and the deepest snow always gets found in and around Morris county's highest point. (Not quite like Alaska though!) Lots of x-c-ski traks too. The footprints are starting to ice and fouling the trails a bit but fun nonetheless. And it's just not a sno-ride unless you fall on some part of your body that doesn't want it! That just serves to straighten up your sno-technique!

And there is a tree blocking the UA trail by the baseball field.
