What have you done to your bike today?

What is the application of said conveyor tape? I can't find anything with that specific designation on McMaster.
Pretty sure this was it:

The real problem is the acrylic glue sticks to the frame more than the tape itself. Frame was even waxed before putting the tape on. Oh well.

Absolutely! That's why I mentioned it, hopefully to save someone $100. I've done 3 Tailored ride wraps before and I'll never do it again. They're super difficult to work with and mine ended up coming up a little on my last bike. I haven't been able to find matte which is unfortunate, but clear looks fine too.

Amazon 3M Clear Bra Tape
Thanks the next bike is gloss finish and I learned my lesson I should at least protect the important sections with something.

I only have 6 single-speeds so I made another one. Testing this setup on this bike to see if it could work on the Epic.

Switched over from my very nice Wolftooth Waveform pedals to Deity Black Kats. The Waveforms are really great, but the short spindle length really was impeding my feeling planted on the pedal without having my foot up against the crank arm. I switched out the 8mm grubs for 10mm on the Deitys since there are fewer (8 each side) and I felt they were a bit short compared to where they seat relative to the spindle.

Rear winter tires are now in effect on both bikes, along with fresh sealant.

Changed the bite point on the SLX brakes on the SJ. Those will be getting ported over to the gravel ride, and the SJ will be getting new XT 8120s.

Do you have the large or small Waveforms? Large must feel like waffles but I don't have big feet. Also what you running for winter tires?

Large, and I'm a size 13/14 depending on brand. Like I said, they're fantastic otherwise. Even added in 2 pedal washers to bump them out a bit, still wasn't enough.

SJ has a soft compound Hans Dampf now, switched out a Wicked Will to a Nobby Nic (regular compound) for the Epic.

I don't recommend cheapening out and buying conveyor tape from McMaster.

Pros: Indestructible, stronger than NJ rocks. Free if ordered on a work account. Doesn't yellow.

Cons: It becomes one with the frame. You don't remove the tape from the frame, you burn the frame to remove it from the tape.
Frost King vinyl weatherproofing tape. It’s clear, always comes off, relatively thick (durable), and cheap.

Did an air can service on the SJ, way overdue.
Also, did the lowers the other day. I mention it because I have a question. The rebound knob would spin without stopping in either direction, so I bought a new one and replaced it then. It's doing the same thing as the one it replaced. Detents are there, so it clocks, just not start/stop point. Any ideas?

Yeah, the actuator shaft that closes the preload stack is broken.

Assuming this is a Fox or Rockshox, you can sometimes buy spare parts, depending on the damper.

It's a brand new Lyrik Ultimate. I'm guessing I should warranty it, it's got like maybe 300 hours on it.
