What have you done to your bike today?

Made mine slower.

Did a fall/winter rear tire swap. For the SJ I swapped out the hard compound Nobby Nic for a softer compound, thicker cased Hans Dampf. The Epic goes from the Wicked Will to a soft compound Nobby Nic.

Trickle down of analog 12 speed to the Bucksaw. Chainring makes a little noise so may need a different one.

Ooof, looks like you got that done right on time!
Swapped new pads (MTX Red) and new 27.5 rear wheel with DHRII 2.4 DH casing. On the DH bike.

I'm considering MTX (been using TruckerCO). As I clyde the Gold seem to be the way to go, but I don't ride anything crazy, so I'm wondering if I can get away with the quieter Reds. Do you or anyone else have an opinion?

I run the MTX Red on my Switchblade, great stopping power, I'm 225lbs and they are nice and quiet.

Mounted up my new Jumbo Jim’s on my new Whisky carbon wheels to put on my old Blackborow. About three pounds lighter than the Clown Shoe wheel set I took off. 😊 Just for the scientific record the CS wheels were set up tubeless in 2015 with overlapped gorilla tape which was supposed to result in disaster but never did.

I use the MTX Gold. I'm fat and old. They work great but they are noisy. I've gotten used to them. I have never tried the Red.

does that have any negative effect on its sensitivity/range/accuracy? i know they say to mount it as close to vertical as possible.
no, it works perfectly, I've had it upside down and sideways and it works great anyway I have it.
I would have mounted it vertical but this is how the mount is made, so I went with it. I like it high up on my head anyway, can be seen better

maybe, maybe not, if the light isnt projecting roughly horizontally behind you, then you are reducing the distance at which it can be seen (im not sure what the acceptable angle is before the visibility decreases so this may be miniscule enough on this scale)
