I have off Tuesday or Friday and Saturday, all rain for the past 2 weeks and this week coming. I’m gonna sell my bikes because you can’t Commute anymore either.

i'm getting freaked out not being able to see the rim, and the compression screwing the spokes into the wood.....
Actually built it up and rode the damn thing outside. Took 2 weeks between building 2 other bikes, waiting for parts and some dropper install fun. So far so good, this feels like the fastest bike I've ridden.

New fork for the Fathom. Jenson had Marzocchi on sale for 35 % off. Couldnt pass it up. 150mm may be too much for the bike. I may have to reduce it to 140 in the future. Either way....couldnt pass up the deal. Also upgraded the headset to a cane creek hellbender70. Giant had a caged bearing headset in there. When i saw it I had flashbacks to 1998.

I see you went Soft on the rear tire, Speedgrip on the front. What was your reasoning? I ask because I'm am thinking about putting Soft on the the back to pair with the front, and was under the impression that Speedgrip isn't great for the front (I have it out back).

I just looked at my RaRay (I don't really use it at all, it's on the shelf) and saw that it's in Speedgrip (not the Soft) as well. Maybe that's all they make for that tire? Carry on.
I'm running Nobby Nic on the front, Wicked Will out back. Good combo with a bit more grip

Which compounds / casings did you go with? I just ordered an enduro soft for the rear and DH SS for the front. I too seem to be taring up Maxxis too quickly.
