What have you done to your bike today?

I bought a cross bike and paid @jimvreeland to put on bar tape.

I cleaned out and re-lubed the bearings, chain, and derailleur and serviced the lowers and air can on my fuel. I also changed it back to flat pedals, my lack of confidence when clipped in far outweighs any performance gains I was getting. I'll still run clipless on my single speed but I pretty much only ride that at sixmile so there's nothing technical to worry about anyways.

Lol...more like I landed a bit funny jumping into the last berm. I guess it flexed the wheel a bit more than the old girl could take. The fact that the pavement is less forgiving, and speeds are quite a bit higher than someplace like West Milford, or High Bridge, puts a lot more stress on the equipment I think.

My rear derailleur cable snapped right at the end of a ride on Wednesday morning.

Shifting was fine until the cable snapped at 4,249 miles. That's a record for me. I usually change it around 3,400 miles, but I've been putting on a lot of miles this July and so I sort of forgot about it.

I used a strong magnet to pull out the broken off end from the Shimano STI mechanism. I replaced the cable and also the housing.
