Went to get a growler fill of brotherton ipa but it was empty so I picked this up because I had their sunkissed citra last weekend and enjoyed it... This not so much.

Long Trail Citrus Limbo IPA

their Limbo IPA (which is outstanding btw) infused with tangerine and grapefruit. the rating on ratebeer is brutal (https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/long-trail-citrus-limbo-ipa/454334/) got an 87% on beer advocate.

I don't why the ratebeer rating is so low... perhaps a beer snob thing against "infused" IPAs?

IMHO this IPA is very good. not close to mind-blowing but very yummy.

to the extent that it is infused with tangerine and grapefruit it is very subtle. not overly sweet or fruity what-so-ever. IMHO if you didn't know it was "infused" you might think it was from the hops. Ive had "non-infused" IPAs that are more fruity (e.g., think they have citra hops).

anyway, I'd recommend it. good stuff.

wanna bet my TSA approved locked will be red when I get it back. Just hoping nothing busts open given I found a few can not well crimped. Funny thing, I brought 10 pounds of pulled pork and it set off all alarms due to the smoke I assume, which granted me a nice long pat down. Also if you haven't been to Newark recently, they have a new security check system which takes at least 25% time longer to get through

I flew from Newark yesterday ... terminal C. New TSA checkpoint went smooth...little line...(tsa pre).

Had a few beers in buffalo and Rochester but this one takes it....nice sour ale

I'm giving it a 4.5 because of the name and label!!!
