Wawayanda State Park Conditions

Yes, most trails are good, I just posted the wet spots I ride. My friend Chris said most trails are good, except every trail he rode had a tree down across it. Like Sitting Bear, South End.
Happy Holidays! Mostly big stuff or small stuff? Planning on heading out with the hand saw soon.

Nice snowy conditions today

Figured most of the trails would be crap today, so I went out to Canal Road,
which cuts through the North West section of Wawayanda and crosses the AT
at one point. I enjoy the road ride to get there and it's a very small but cool
road/trail, and it was dry.

I've been riding that section a bit myself now and then when conditions are not the best at Wayway. Sometimes I take the wife and kid as it's a short easy ride for them. There are a few "hidden gems " over there as well if you know where to look.😉

Where is this? I thought I'd been everywhere in this park...

It's not really in Waywayanda, as you know it. It's a " bike path ", at the end of Canal Road in Vernon, off Maple Grange Road. It's really short, only a mile or two, unless you start at the paved end of Canal Road, and ride it all the way to Prices Switch Road. The AT crosses it about half way through.
