are you sure this event involves riding a bike 😉

So far I'm not so sure...Lots of food though!

I see food!!!

Have fun guys and enjoy the ride! 😀

Yeah, I figured that would excite you...

i looking forward to hearing about the post ride brews.
Have a good ride.

I have to thank Walter for the heads up. They have several types of Troegs on tap here and there is a bar pretty close to everywhere you go in the hotel. I thought this place was all about the chocolate🙄

Everyone is most concerned about the ride tomorrow. It sounds like we'll be doing 86 miles of hills and rollers with the biggest being at around mile 73. I think we should be fine they have four rest stops along the way to refill on food and water/gatorade and SAG wagons dispersed throughout.

So far the company who is putting this on, G4 Productions, has done an amazing job. Everything is like clockwork. They shuttle our bags from hotel to hotel and Knapps Cyclery will be providing the mechanical support along the way. They said they model this ride after the European tours/races so they have the SAG wagons and moto guys all over the place.

The alarm is set for 5:30AM tomorrow. We have to be at breakfast around 6ish and then we ride from the lodge to chocolate world where Hershey will give a big check to YSC($300,000 I think) then we start off on our ride. Its still raining here and looks like it should stop sometime just before we start riding. Hopefully its not to bad, although we were told we should have a nice tail wind tomorrow.

Good luck man! Based on the radar, it looks like the rain should get out of your way.

The jerseys are really cute and you're a sweet couple of cyclists. Good luck...looks like you're having a blast.

At rest stop 2…lunch stop (thanks subway). Mile 32ish. The terrain to this point has been challenging but totally doable. We started the ride with temps in the mid sixties but a nice steep early climb woke us up and warmed us up. Talk about farm country! We’ve see just abt everything including llamas or maybe they were alpacas. The rollers along the way are super fun. So far we’ve heard about two broken collarbones… We hope they’re all ok. Porta-potties just arrived and were greeted with much cheering 🙂 Back on the bike soon so more later!
