I agree. But the socialist/globalist strategies they used to "fix" the pandemic is what is going on right now. Dive deep into that website and find what people were saying to use to implement the agenda 2030 socialist strategies... It's all there. You know the saying "Never let a good crisis go to waste"
I don't identify as a socialist, but it's interesting to note that the one country that doesn't have socialized healthcare is the one that's now the epicenter of the pandemic. As for globalism, some problems are bigger than just one country. A virus doesn't abide by lines drawn on a map by silly humans.

Nor do I, but technically any welfare provided by the govt is socialism. Seems like Europe and the UK have a ton of freedom and success despite socialized healthcare. What's sorta fucked is that our defense, 1 of the main functions of a democracy, is mainly capitalized (private sector contracting) which is why we spend so much of our GDP on defense.

Socialized healthcare would not keep the death rate low... look at all the death rates/million for countries with socialized care anywhere from 2 to 5 times higher than the USA. I mean you can even see that in the US, government run hospitals do not perform as well as private sector run hospitals.

True. Socialism has been creeping into the USA for a long time.

Has there ever been a purely libertarian society? I think the greatness of most western countries has always been striving for a balance in society. Take govt assistance completely away and you'll have more extreme poverty. Now even if I didn't care about anyone but my family, poverty creates crime and violence that can spread to my family. So I see things like education and assistance as a personal benefit to myself. I'd rather not have to walk around with a gun, ready to kill.

there will always be grifters
you point is well stated - i was thinking right along the same lines.
what we don't want is people stealing so they can eat. cause they will, and they won't be stealing from people that don't have anything.

I had to delete a bit of a rant and boil it down to the above. 😉

Wait... i thought Trump and Laura Ingraham are the same? Cuz Ingraham was still pushing it yesterday i think? Cuz that study was not peer reviewed and etc....

Jury is still out - was not a clinical trial and was on very ill patients. French study shows promise - they say it works better on less severe cases:

Double-blind trials are in field, they will give more definitive results.

My accountant mentioned she knows several people who had good luck using Paypal to get the PPP loan done quickly. I'm riding it out with PNC since i'm a couple of steps ahead of you.

Do u have a citation for the private v. government hospitals?
